We had some windows and bifold doors installed by AL in 2020, a minor issued developed (the door was catching on the bottom), I ran and spoke to a lovely lady who arranged for the owner to pop round the following day after their day job was complete. He took just under an hour and fixed the problem there and then.

We needed to replace wooden casement windows on the 2nd floor of our old property in Swanage. These windows were encased in black painted frames with slate sides and an apex slate roof.
All the house windows were painted green.
It’s a period property circa 1800 with Georgian style sash windows on the lower floors.
We wanted to make sure that new replacement windows would blend in with the other windows and maintain the period aesthetic of the property. However we didn’t want the ongoing maintenance associated with wood windows.

I phoned AL Windows and spoke to a very helpful lady. She arranged an appointment for a visit by one of their team.
A person came to measure up a few days later and we decided to go with plastic double hung windows; white on the inside and black on the outside.
A L windows gave us an approximate delivery time of 3 weeks.
They were actually fitted two and a half weeks later.

The new windows blend in perfectly with the style of the building and look like they’re made from wood when viewed from the outside.
From the inside they look very neat and tidy.
We now have no unwanted draughts or water leaks.
We are thrilled with the new windows.

I very rarely post reviews on anything but felt compelled to do so on this occasion - thanks to the great job done by everyone on the AL team. We had new patio doors and a window fitted and we are delighted with the outcome. They built trust right from the off. The visit to their production site was really useful and helped to see the work they were capable of. The back office worked very smoothly, with Sara very responsive to our requests. Most importantly, the product is excellent, good value for the quality, and the finished doors and windows better than we could have expected. The installation team were fantastic - they worked with care for the rest of our property, pace to get it done before the weather changed, and all with a really friendly and helpful attitude. All this was done in a very reasonable timeframe from order to fitting.
Thanks again to the team - I would recommend anyone to use this great small business.
